Posted - Apr 05 2010 : 2:52:49 PM I got the go ahead about a month ago to put in some gardens outside for the summer and a compost heap and I was removing the sod from next to the house and hit TERMITES. I grabbed a canning jar and put a bunch inside.
I then lovingly delivered them to my landlord next door. The pest control is coming out soon. Plus there is a wasp trying to make a nest in our shed. It has been an interesting day for the gardens.
I will head out again tomorrow and do some more digging. I hope to have all the new beds ready to put down the top soil within the next week or so, before I go to CT

Posted - Apr 05 2010 : 7:40:31 PM It's a good thing you found them, Emily. And what a nice landlord to let you have a garden. I hope you have lots of good things to eat soon. Sounds like a lot of work starting from scratch. But you can do it! Have fun. And watch out for those pesky wasps!
