Posted - Mar 26 2010 : 9:46:35 PM Well when I use to live in SO. California,,,geraniums were perennials...but up here in Spokane WA...they are annuals...but I just could not bring myself to let some of my geraniums die so I dug them out, potted them up & brought them indoors where they spent their Winter....well, they are so ready for Spring and to get their 'toes' back in the ground...well at least into a big ginormus patio pot.(so I can bring them in again next Winter).. I measured the leaves on one of the plants... wowzers! 5 1/4" across...yep, I think it's time to get them outside.

Posted - Mar 27 2010 : 08:17:06 AM How cool! My Grandmother would pull all of her geraniums with just a little of the dirt still on the roots and put them into her cellar to over winter. She would just give them enough water to stay moist thru the winter, then in the spring she would re-pot them and they would do great. Unfortunately, I don't have a cellar or basement so I can't do it.
