Go figure, we have a few weeks of realitivly nice weather, I go buy 4 more fruit trees, hub's & I get them in the ground on Sunday, and it starts to rain as I am covering up the last one ,,,and go figure, today...It SNOWS! aacckk! So I am keeping my fingers crossed, my eyes crossed, my legs crossed...oh heck, I am even wearing my Cross My Heart bra that my lil trees survive! lololol!

Posted - Mar 22 2010 : 10:24:05 PM Grace- one trick is to go wrap the little trees in Christmas lights- The lights produce just enough heat to prevent a freeze but not enought to hurt the tree. I have heard of people doing that with fruit trees to protect blossoms when a late freeze comes in just as the blossoms are about to set to fruit.
