We're considering planting some fruit trees...can you share which ones you have, and your experiences? We live in North Central Ohio, so no citrus. ;-) thanks!

Lisa, they are about 3 ft, depending on the variety, and they are bareroot when shipped. They are sent dorment, and at the right time for your planting zone.

I received one of Starkbrothers magazines about a month ago. I saw their heirloom varieties and was very excited. Does anyone know how big the trees are when they are shipped and how the roots are cared for.
A word of wisdom from my dad, he loves the dwarf trees.
Anyone know the best planting time for Ohio.

The best place to get great fruit trees are from www.starkbrothers.com , I have been getting trees from them for years, and I HIGHLY recommend them.

We have a dwarf apple, and a peach tree. Planted them 2 summers ago. Last summer we only got one apple from the apple tree. The peach tree did very well. We got some peaches from the peach tree. Make sure you water the trees when it gets dry outside. Good luck. Farmgirl Kim. |
