Posted - Feb 23 2010 : 09:36:36 AM at least I think it is a squirrel or two. My raised garden bed has been pillaged and the glads and dahlia bulbs stolen. Darn it all! Now I need to replace the bulbs but I wonder how to best keep the critters away. Perhaps one of those fake owls keeping guard?

Posted - Feb 23 2010 : 12:06:57 PM My squirrels did that too, but they reburied the tulips all over. Sometimes, in the weirdest place, a tulip will bloom. I think it's funny. But I quit planting bulbs
Forget buns of steel, I'd rather have buns of cinnamon!

Posted - Feb 23 2010 : 11:05:58 AM have you tried putting chicken wire down on top of your dirt? I would think that would work. We have hawks now - no more squirrels!
