Okay, so this I can manage. LOL Pg. 50-51 in the Tried-N-True issue.

More than just sprouting, less than full-blown gardening, perfect for micro greens to get through the winter, and to keep that "must garden" fix without the sore back.

I think I'll collect up the seed my garden is now offering and put it to good use. I'll ask around at work for some of those deli trays to plant them in, and enjoy a micro garden through the winter months ahead.

If you don't get the magazine, (why not?) It's seed sprouting, but with dirt, in a recycled tray instead of a glass jar for easy access. Allows for a bit more variety, like peppery nasturtium leaves, things that need a bit more time/nutrition to develop into a tasty treat. Then cutting them to harvest, rather than using the whole sprout.

Brilliant! Thanks MaryJane! That little MJ Barbie needs an itty bitty rake.

We make a difference.

Scored a great container today at work. One of those containers a store-bought cake comes in. Nice little countertop greenhouse.

Not purple hollyhocks...trade you for some pretty magenta flower (nickel sized blossom) with soft to the touch silver leaves. Grow knee high. A friend shared them with me, and I forgot what they are called. Easy keepers. :) I could spare some broccoli seed too...got plenty o'that and not so sure I'd like brocosprouts...maybe?

We make a difference.

oh Michelle, I have been 'rustling' seeds for the past few weeks now from both my garden as well as others...infact my last "caper" was when I was at the Buggy Barn,,,I snagged a few pods of Hollyhock seeds...my bad, but they were for purple Hollyhocks, so can ya blame me? lol! hummm, wonder what type of flowers you have in your yard...wink wink!
hugz & I miss you my friend......

Yep, in the Oct./Nov. issue. I let some cilantro go to seed, and I think that will be my first mini-crop.

We make a difference.
