Posted - Sep 05 2009 : 08:11:45 AM Does anyone know how to collect and store seed potatoes? I have lots and am picking them, but I don't quite know how to keep them until next season. I assume they need to dry out a bit and stay relatively dry and cool.
Any advise??

Posted - Sep 08 2009 : 10:35:58 AM I have used old potatoes before, but I am interested in saving the actual seeds that grow on the plant tops. I am not quite sure how to store them and whether or not to let them dry in the sun. Has anyone done this before?

Posted - Sep 05 2009 : 2:29:28 PM I use my left over spuds for seed potatoes. I dug mine the other day. I do keep mine in an extra fridge. I know you are not supposed to, but I don't have any place else cool enough to keep them. It works for me. I usually use bigger potatoes, that I cut into pieces for planting. I had an excellant crop this year.
