I just noticed little brown spots on my new Hansa Rose I just planted a little over a week ago.

Help!

I didn't notice any kind of "bug" and looked her over very carefully also some yellowing leaves at the base of the shrub. Oy....I have never grown roses before and I sure hate to lose this little gem!

Any advice??

its probaly "rust", if it is, then the leaves are getting wet when you water, "water the roots not the plant", my mama used to say. Rust on roses is a type of fungus. I use bubblers around my roses and trees, my neighbor uses 2 liter soda bottles, punch a small holes near the bottom , on the side, fill with water and replace the cap tight, it will slowly drip, re-fill as needed.
