Is there anything more satifying that digging dandelions? Our whole back yard is chock full of them! I foung that if I can dig down at a slight angle and get my shovel down towards the bottom of the taproot, I hear this little pop and then I can just pull them right up while the sod is mostly undisturbed and able to be tapped right back down!

I was out digging dandelions because I want to try roasting them for Dandelion coffee and whiel I am at it- I think I will make dandelion pasta as well! Waste not, want not! Maybe in the future I will make dandelion wine too!

Wow Alee, Nora is so blessed to have you for a mom. What memories she is going to have when she gets older, not to mention what a good cook she will be.

Thanks Michelle! I think the roasting process shoudl be good tonight because it is nice and rainy out. I figure if I did 20-50 plants a day it might keep Doug from wanting to use chemicals on the lawn. And I am not joking when I say I have that many. I stopped counting how many I dug this morning, but I will count them when I wash and cut them up later.

And Nora was out there blowing dandelion puffs so I am sure I will have lots more growing throughout the year!
