Posted - May 02 2009 : 5:35:13 PM I had a beautiful little plant in my garden one year that had little flowers that were white with a little pink in the middle and it had "feathery" edges, or more like edges that looked like they went through a shredder. It was a delicate little flower and when I went out to the garden in the evening I could smell it's scent from several feet away. Does anyone have any idea of what this may have been? I thought it was a dianthus (spelling?) but now that I planted those I see that they are not the same. Help?!! -Elizabeth |

Posted - May 02 2009 : 6:24:04 PM It sounds like dianthus to me too and there are hundreds of varieties. What about the variety Dianthus barbatus (Sweet William). I don't know how to post a pic yet, but it has a really nice scent, kinda spicy??? |
