Here are some of what I'm wanting--Pole beans of different kinds (the kinds you can dry for soups, etc), cabbage, roma/plum tomato, cucumber, melon, swiss chard,
Thanks! |

Posted - Apr 21 2009 : 4:29:09 PM Oops! I posted this in the wrong thread! I do have some extra seeds - pretty mixed beans - I'd be happy to send you some if you'd like them.
I've started my garden! Bought heirloom tomato plants from Mother Earth (okay, not them but they promoted the company) - put them in my little square foot garden on Sunday. We've had nice warm partly cloudy days and they look so happy! Last night, I planted green beans, wax beans and purple beans, zucchini, corn, squash & a cucumber plant. I have a few more square feet left. I think I'll try carrots in the last squares. I built my garden using concrete blocks so I have all those 4" squares for herbs and catnip. There's even lavender and thyme growing in one of them from last year. My garden wouldn't grow anything taller than 6-8" last summer so I added a bag of chicken compost and one of cow compost. I'm hoping that resolves the issue. Once I get the trellis built, I'll plant some of those little pumpkins. Square foot gardening is just perfect for someone like me with too little time and high hopes :)
