Has anyone built a portable salad table like the one shown on page 67 of the MJF April/May magazine? It looks really interesting but I don't quite understand how to construct the bottom. What is hardware cloth and do you drill holes in the bottom or is the screening the bottom?

Thanks, Tina

Tina--hardware cloth is a type of wire. You can find it in the garden section of most hardware store. You'll need tin snips to cut it and a pair of heavy gloves. I used a staple gun to fasten it to the bottom of the drawers that I'm using. As long as you're using hardware cloth there's no need to drill holes. The screen goes on top of the hardware cloth. Hope this helps--good luck with your salad table!
