Posted - Mar 25 2009 : 10:06:38 PM Hey lovely ladies,
I'm putting together a list of heirloom and organic seed catalogs and I'd like your advice. What are your favorites places (online or mail order) to buy seeds/starts ? Why do you like them?
Thanks! ![](icons/icon_smile_kisses.gif)

They are generous with their seeds, have been in the "organic heirloom" seed business in the northwest for over 30 years and everything I have ever tried to grow, grew so beautifully and so delicious!

I appreciate all of the information you girls give me. I am still fairly new to gardening (and organic) and could use all the help I could get ![](icons/icon_smile.gif)

Posted - Mar 27 2009 : 08:18:17 AM We used to love Garden's Alive, but haven't had any luck with them at all this year. Rotten potatoes, seeds arriving very late, backorders, etc., so I'll not order from them next year. We have used SSE in the past and had great luck. Also Territorial Seed Co. is great.

Posted - Mar 27 2009 : 06:49:04 AM I have a few favorites- Seed Savers Exchange, Baker Creek, Seeds of Change, and Bountiful Gardens. I have ordered from all of them and am happy with the seeds I recieved. I do have to admit that most of my seeds come from SSE and Baker Creek, and this year I ordered my potatos from SSE.

Posted - Mar 26 2009 : 07:16:33 AM I have three favorites. Baker's creek, Seed Saver's Exchange and Southern Exposure. Their catalogs are beautiful and I love the quality of the seeds you get from them. Emilee Gettle is a farmgirl on this forum. She and her husbsand own Baker's Creek so I'm sure she would be happy to answer any of your questions!
