Being fairly new to eastern Wa., I'm wondering how successful I can be growing potatoes......I'm assuming the deer will be into them. I didn't have this concern on the west side of the mtns., any input, from anyone on the east side???? The deer left my roses and other flowers alone last year, and, our fruit trees, ( I should knock on wood at this moment!!), but they are all inside a fenced yard.I realize a fence isn't going to keep them out forever but it did help for one season!!

Deer aren't supposed to like potatoes. But they ate ours last year. So, while generally you'd be safe...be prepared.

As far as I know deer won't bother Potatoes. They are in the same family as Tomatoes and the leaves are toxic. MB
