Posted - Mar 07 2009 : 05:43:35 AMWe went out for Chinese dinner last night and had some Lychee fruit for dessert. My girls & I decided to bring home the seeds to try & grow.
I've seen conflicting information on the seed/stone. One source shows a picture with a root growing. Another site says that the only way to grow them is to graft from a tree.
We just want to do this for fun and a science project. Can anyone help us out?
from the info shared on the website above apparently it can take up to 7 yrs for this type of tree grown from seed to produce any fruit/but in with this info link above is a number for being able to obtain trees in 7 gallon pots.best of wishes.
