Oooh, that watchdog section on davesgarden.com is fun... you can search by companies that have signed the Safe Seeds Pledge, even! How cool is that?

I'm still a big fan of Botanical Interests, Renee's Garden and of course Baker Creek. Didn't realize that Burpee owns the Cook's Garden.

One of my friends got me interested in the Seed Savers Exchange (heirloom seeds) you might want to check them out also. Their catalog is absolutely fantastic..with beautiful photos, too.

I had ordered years ago seed starting kits from Gardener's Choice. I didn't have any problems with my order and the supplies lasted for years.

That's one I haven't heard of before - or at least I don't remember it. Is it organic? Heirloom? Is there a website (going to check that out now)?

Okay, I'm back. Googled "Gardener's Choice" and found this website: www.davesgarden.com They have a Watchdog section where people can rate their experiences with garden-related companies. In the last year Gardener's Choice got 2 positive, 9 neutral and 49 negative reviews.

It seems like I stumbled across this site way once upon a time. Wish I'd remembered it bacause it has loads of information. Here's their blurb: "Dave's Garden is the hands-down favorite website of gardeners around the world. Our articles and videos show you how to start seeds and learn how to have your best garden ever. Members can chat with other gardeners in our 253 forums, and identify your plants, pests, birds and butterflies."

God bless -
