Posted - Jan 05 2009 : 9:22:58 PM Would anyone happen to have any Dinner Plate Hibiscus seeds they would like to swap? My aunt used to grow the most beautiful hibiscus bushes from saved seeds from my grandmothers bush, but she has quit and no longer has any seeds...2 years ago i was given a package of dinner Plate Hibiscus seeds that came from Park Seeds, but unfortunatley, the seeds were in a mildewed seed packet that was 4 years old, so even though I tried, nothing came of them ...I sure would LOVE to be able to grow them from saved, organic, farmgirl seed!!! Just drop me an email if yall have any info..thanks bunches, kelley |

Posted - Jan 11 2009 : 07:34:45 AM Hey Deb......since we arent getting much of a responnse....I figured that we should just order some seeds, grow our own, an ten harvest and sve the seeds, and swap them next year...LOL....Since I'm Queen of Cheap...LOL....I have been skimming the net, and found a good deal from Mountain Meadow Seeds....they have several different varieties, most packets either 25 or 50 seeds...all for $2.50 each....pretty good deal, I think....I am going to post a topic and try to get some feedback from some other farmgals to see if anyone has ordered from there before...Kelley |

Posted - Jan 06 2009 : 04:17:43 AM My 10 yo dd would love some of these seeds as well!
There is a home next to our church that had these in bloom about 2 years ago and she fell in love with them. I don't know if the woman tore them out or what, but I haven't seen them bloom since then.
If you have any to spare, after Kelley, I would appreciate some as well.
