Posted - Dec 03 2008 : 09:11:47 AM While my DH and I were changing blades on his rice shredder the skeeters were horrible. They always are around the rice fields. We were not prepared for this because it was an unexpected repair. I looked all through my car for something to keep them away. I happened to find baby powder since I have a 3 year old. We smeared it on and looked like ghosts but the skeeters staye away. Later my MIL brought us some of the mosquito coast stuff. As soon as we put it on they came back. We again put on more baby powder and they went away again. If you do not mind looking white this works. Just the original scent. We looked a sight. between the dust , dirt, rice chaf, mosquito coast, baby powder, grease and sun burn we were quite a pair. DH thinks I look my best at these times because we get to work together. Hope this works for you![](icons/icon_smile.gif) becky

Posted - Dec 05 2008 : 7:35:22 PM I have found that I shouldn't eat bananas in the skeeter season here in VA. Seems they are more attracted to me (my flavor??) So I only eat bananas in the off season. Sounds crazy doesn't it
May the God Lord bless and keep you. |
