Posted - Aug 30 2008 : 1:31:43 PMDoes anyone use broomcorn for fall decorations? I have some broom corn growing in my garden and the seeds are starting to turn colors. How and when do you cut it and how do you dry it? I planned to use it in fall decorations...possibly in a bucket. I would appreciate any information and pictures of what you do with broom corn.

Posted - Aug 30 2008 : 5:31:22 PMI grew some one time to use for decorations but the goats got out before I could get it dry and ate it to the ground...sigh..so much for that year. I think it is really pretty tied to porch supports with twine or on the front porch in a bucket. I had a friend in CAlif who always grew it. I will have to try THAT again some year too.
