I had to show these off. 25 years ago in Oregon I had one of these with two blooms and thought I'd won the lottery! Look at these. Himalayan poppies, they're almost like weeds this summer. I don't care if anything else grows......

I'm providing a link here to a seed starting page.......... if you still want to try, send me your email with a mailing address I'll probably have enough for 10-15 people easily! Just send me a postcard in return that you have received it, preferably a pretty one! jo

Jo, those are beautiful! I'd happily trade you some seed from my poppies (I can't remember the name, but they are big and pink and look like a carnation) in exchange for some of your poppy seeds! Let me know.

Jo, they are absolutely gorgeous! Do you think they'd make it here? I bought some seeds a few years ago and not one of them sprouted. Did you start yours from seed?

I think I'll save seeds this year. I think they're going to bloom until frost (which isn't very long from now). They have lots more flower heads left to bloom. If anyone would like some seed heads that live in a maritime climate I can send you a head. I don't think they'll do well anyplace warm and dry. The first year they're quite small so you have to invest a little time in them.

How LOVELY Jo! Is it me, or do they look like they're sticking out their tongues? (LOL) Tracy

That is fantastic, Jo. I have never seen them bloom so much. I generally get a few flowers but not like that. Do you save seeds? MB
