I planted the extra large kind in hopes for a good size one for the fair. I have maybe 5 small pumkins and about 50 blossoms. If I pick off the blossoms will it make the pumkins grow bigger and faster?

i have heard that picking the blossoms off the tomatoes and cutting back the plant will force tomatoes and i would think that wouldnt hurt pumpkins. good luck. peace connie in alaska
