Posted - Jul 26 2008 : 07:57:56 AMI have these little bluish white moth things all over my whisteria plant. Anyone know what they are and how to get rid of them.
Posted - Jul 27 2008 : 07:27:38 AMI don't know Tina. See that is what I thought at first but all the pictures show them with their wings down like a traditional fly. Mine have their wings pinched together and look like a little triangle. It has been raining so I haven't been able to get a picture. There are 100's of them just all lined up. I'll treat for the whiteflies and see if that helps.
Posted - Jul 26 2008 : 5:28:12 PMAhh! We call them bug zappers. The strange thing is the moths never move except when I shake them. I hate to get a zapper 1. because they cost money and 2. we have tons of dragonflies right now and I don;t want to kill those. I really just wish i knew what these were.
Posted - Jul 26 2008 : 4:20:06 PMThey are those bright white/ bright blue light that you can hang outside your house. They attract bugs and electrocute them. They are usually called bug lights or bug zappers
Posted - Jul 26 2008 : 10:36:35 AMThey are about the size of a pinky finger nail. The part where they are sitting is all dried out and looks like it is dying. I go out an shake them all off (100's of them) and they just come back and line up on the vines.
Posted - Jul 26 2008 : 08:01:01 AMIf they are very tiny, they could be white flies. We get those pretty bad in the dry times. They do not really hurt anything, just annoying. Soapy water will keep them under control. And oil spray.
