Every Saturday it is hubby's job to go out and mow the lawn. Last Saturday I didn't make him a list because I was out of town and of course he didn't get it done. Well I had asked him to do it earlier this week and he still didn't get it done. So I did. I have mowed lawns for years, but it was kind of Doug's chore. Oh well! It's done now! LOL I think I will still make him mow it tomorrow though!! LOL

Honey, take it from me: you fell for the oldest Hubby Trick in the book! :-) If you start doing his chores for him, they will rapidly become your chores for good. Men are good at delegating. We have to get better at saying, "Nice try, Charlie. Here's the mower. Go for it." :-)

hubby doesnt allow me to touch a chainsaw or an axe and i dont argue the point! i often do things that he would rather i didnt but if he doesnt have time to do it working so much then i do it (or make son do it lol). thank goodness we dotn ahve a blade of grass to mow!

I can get anything in the truck and get it home but if it is heavy it stays in the truck till he gets back in from otr trucking. I have had the truck full with stuff for weeks. I love to mow and all things outside so if he isn't around I do its all good. ButI do make sure that when he leaves for a while every thing is in good working order so that I can get things done.

Nice to know we can do what we need to do when the men are gone. They are lucky they can lift heavy things or they may "lose their jobs" all together..haha.

I worked for a horse ranch for a summer and all the guys were gone that year. And I mean gone- not even living on the ranch. So it was me, the owner, and the ranch manager- all women- left to get things done. And we sure did! We worked hard, but it was a great summer!

yup, my dh works alot so we girls here know how fun it is to unload and load feed, move animals around, take out the trash, wash cars, mow grass, and I just learned how to drive the big tractor. I like it when he does do those things though! However I will not cut trees down- I am afraid of the chainsaw- LOL. It's good for my girls to know though, we want to have a man but don't NEED one around and we can do things ourselves.

Oh he gets to hand wash the car tomorrow and towel try it. Penance for his weekend off I think! LOL. I am very lucky to have a guy that is willing to do chores up to a point. Sometimes I have to tell him to go away and leave me to it because he can get kind of grouchy when he is working.

You sure are a busy person. Let the hubby do the lawn. I agree with Sandra. The more you do, the less he'll do.

Be careful.....I was married for years and years and the more I did the less he did until I had to leave in order to get out from under! LOL! He remarried immediately! And his wife of several years looks more amd more tired every time I see her...poor thing...she should have talked to me first! LOL!!!!

It is a non self propelled electric push mower. :D I think he should too- but I would probably have to re-do it anyway.

You GO, girl!!
So, was it a riding mower or a push mower? I think your hubby should have to do one of your chores in exchange, btw.
