My mom and I have a terrible problem with bunnies and chipmunks getting in the garden and the potted herbs and veges. They are so cute so I don't want to hurt them but they are gonna eat everything if we dont get them under control. Any ideas?

I have a horrible time with chipmunks, ground squirrels and bunnies eating my garden too. My husband has tried shooting them, but they are so fast and there are so many of them! I tried putting traps out to catch them and then release away from us, but they are so smart....I tried cayene pepper, sprinkling the blood meal (that just made my dog dig) I tried wire only in the places I can us it and they chewed through it...SO, I am going to keep a close eye on this post and see what others have to say because I am joining you Jenn, I need help too!

If shooting them is not an option then possibly Have-a-Heart Traps might work for you. But that's a lot of work to relocate them and possible re-relocate them when they come back.

Better yet, put chicken wire around your garden. You will have to sink it at least a foot into the ground around the garden. That will work for the bunnies; the chipmunks will climb up and over unless you make the fencing high enough to cover the top with that black mesh netting so you can walk under it. I had to do that for a garden I had several years ago to keep the deer, elk and turkeys out of it. Apparently, I had planted my garden right in their path to the creek and they were really enjoying the great new food put in their path. It worked very well.

I've heard that sprinkling dried blood (you can get it at any garden center) around your garden will deter them but I've never tried that one.
