My sister recently moved to Alaska. I am purchasing MaryJane's book for her but was also looking for a good gardening book for the Alaska climate. She is near King Salmon (south Alaska) off of Bristol Bay. This is new territory for her, she lived that last 12 years in Alexandria, VA. Mostly I am looking for info on raising vegetables and possible bulbs in this type of enviroment. If any of you know of some good resource books, let me know. This is going to be her Christmas gifts.
