Posted - Feb 11 2008 : 1:02:09 PM My daffodils are all up, a few crocus, and the tulip bulbs that I didn't get into the ground last fall have sprouted. So dh planted those this weekend. Don't know if they'll keep going, but I hope so! What's going on in YOUR garden?

Posted - Feb 12 2008 : 06:49:26 AM Thanks for the pictures Marybeth. I got my morning color fix from them! It is a balmy 16 here and snowing. Here in Chicago land we are getting a good old fashioned winter. The kind we had when I was a kid. I am praying for a early spring though! Winter has been quite beautiful, I'm hoping for a early & gorgeous spring! Keep those pictures coming please!!!

Posted - Feb 12 2008 : 05:38:53 AM Wow, a lot of you gals have stuff coming up already in places where I thought you were buried under snow!
My gardens are all still under 5 feet of snow. It's going to be a while yet. I'll have to shovel the snow away from my greenhouse just to get new plastic put on. Meanwhile, I have lots of peas and lettuces growing in the house. I just started my broccoli seeds last night. Every year when we get lots of snow, I end up shoveling out the one flower bed on the south side of our house next to our porch so I can see my daffodils and tulips as soon as possible. I can see I will be doing that again this year!

Posted - Feb 11 2008 : 6:41:11 PM I have Crocus, daffs and a few tulips coming up. believe it or not I was over at my Mother's on Whidbey Island yesterday and I saw a rose bush in full bloom. I took some pictures. I have seen roses bloom year round but just straggly and this was beautiful. I have a few pansies still blooming. They are so sweet and try so hard. At the beach at Whidbey were some bellis daisies trying hard to bloom. So Sherri, us west-siders have some promise of Spring. I'll try to post the rose bush. MB
They have full foliage and everything and it is an old plant. MB

Posted - Feb 11 2008 : 6:36:38 PM My garden is buried under about 6"s of snow so far and more is coming down. Since it's -11, I doubt I'll see any signs of spring for awhile! I'm really envious that spring has started already by you! I can't wait until ours begins.
