Posted - Jan 18 2008 : 12:26:47 PM The first of the season. Usually they pop out starting February but as I was driving back home--after picking up my daughter's pup so we could have doggy day care here--there were two bushes full of PUSSY WILLOWS. YAY. I just knew Spring was just around the corner. Of course lots of you still have snow and freezing weather and we will probably have some more here---but I have Crocus poking out of the ground and now PUSSY WILLOWS. I know Spring, herself, is peeking from behind that tree. MB

Posted - Jan 20 2008 : 07:17:10 AM Yeah, we got snow here too and temps will be down in the 20s. Cold for here. Plants are smart they know when to go back to sleep. Out here it is late frosts in March or so that fool the plants and bite them. MB

Posted - Jan 18 2008 : 6:22:53 PM Hi Sherri, I have some daffs and tulips poking their foliage up but they settle down if it gets too cold. They're pretty smart--for a plant. ha. MB

Posted - Jan 18 2008 : 3:41:32 PM Oh Mary Beth, they are so beautiful. I remember collecting pussy willows when I was a little girl. I just loved them. I haven't held one in years and seeing your photos brings back such lovely memories ~ and the promise of springtime!
