Does anyone know of a good place for buying popcorn seeds. . .I'm looking for some in particular, but don't know their name. It's a beautiful dark red/purple kernel and pops up a bright clear white. I keep buying it at the farmer's market over the summer, but the older couple who sell it didn't know what it was called or where their son (the farmer) gets the seeds. OR. . .could I just plant some of the kernels? Forgive my ignorance. . .Thanks!

I think the ones Baker Creek has are probably like what you are looking for.

Sheila, Baker Creek Seeds has something called "Popcorn" corn seeds in their corn section. I have no idea if this is what you mean, but it's worth looking at, maybe?

Sheila - Stokes Seeds carries what they call an ornamental "strawberry popcorn" that they claim is also excellent for popping. Could that be what you are interested in?
