WOW Tina...that's a phenominal idea! I'll have to let my DH know about that one. He was just asking me this morning what I wanted....now I can tell him! SEEDS!!! Not that I really need them, but it's an addiction...like my shoe habit used to be. :o)

got my first garden catalogs today too. Pine tree seeds and Stokes.
And..I planted some more wild flower seeds in my cottage garden today..yay! The cold weather is needful for some of the items in the wildflower collection...such as poppies..to be able to germinate properly.
Can't wait to see what sprouts up come Spring time.

The seed catalogs are starting to arrive here, too... three of them arrived here within the last week. I've spent some enjoyable time picking out new heirloom tomato varieties that I'd like to try next spring... Fun, fun, fun! :-)

Wow! that's what I need, a catalog full of dreamy plants that I can experiment growing up here in WA.
I currently have parsley/chives & basil growing on the window ledge(inside) and I brought my Gerainium & 3 potted lavender plants into the house before it turned to cold. Unfortunatly my poor gooseberry did not survive.

I'm sooooo jealous!! I love the seed catalog more than the Pottery Barn catalog!! Well, it might be a close tie. Can't wait to start dreaming up my spring garden!! You should check out gardenweb.com. I made a friend from the Seattle area and he randomly sends me seeds. He's amazing!! I have some serious tomato seed for 2008....if anyone is interested, let me know!

Oh dear, does this mean that the Christmas catalog season is now officially over? I'm not ready for Spring, I'm not ready for Spring, I'm not ready...

I just spent a couple wonderful hours dreaming and making a fun order...I think it's somewhere around $400. LOL...eeek!!! I want to plant one of everything! Now I'll get realistic and pair it down to about 10% of that, mostly heirlooms as I'm wanting to try to do my best to switch to plants I can save seed from.
According to the Farmer's Almanac, this is supposed to be a great gardening year coming up. I hope you guys get your catalogues real soon!
