I grew these in my garden this year. Such fun! And delicious too. They are also called Mexican Sour Gherkins. Next year I need to build a trellis - they climbed all over my tomato plants and it was hard to harvest them, they were hidden.

They taste like a pickle! Yummy.

Read here about them: http://www.motherearthnews.com/Whole-Foods-and-Cooking/2005-06-01/Mouse-Melons.aspx

This is where we bought our plant from (yes 1 plant!)

Next year I hope to plant more and try pickling them. I did can some in with hubby's hot peppers. We'll see how that turns out.
