I scored a groundhog sized live trap for five bucks!! Woo-hoo!!!

Sharon Lovejoy suggests lettuce with vanilla on it, but I've had no takers. What is the best thing you know of with which to tempt a groundhog?

I haven't tried it yet but in my Amish home remedy book they say to bait the trap with an apple. I have a groundhog (saw him today!) but he stays in the woods behind the house so I'll let him be for now. You might also want to take some of what he is eating and put that in the trap also. At least you know he likes it that way!
Good luck and let us know what works for you!
