Posted - Jul 20 2007 : 6:04:18 PM I'd love to phase our our grass lawn in favor of a chamomile one, ala Buckingham Palace. Does anyone have experience with growing Roman chamomile as a lawn?? We have three little ones that love to play outside, so it'd have to be pretty hardy.

Posted - Jul 22 2007 : 03:26:28 AM Oh, Lisa we need Katie-Ell to the rescue, as she runs a landscaping business with her husband.... she could tell you what kind might stand up to little feet! Best of luck, love that idea! Nance |

Posted - Jul 20 2007 : 6:34:02 PM Well, I don't know a whole lot about it. But what I do know-- you'll want a creeping chamomile that hugs the ground and doesn't grow upright. I think they can take light to moderate treading. You'll want to mow with a manual push mower set about 2 inches high and not a traditional gas powered mower, because that would put too much stress on it. Hope this helps. :-)
