Posted - Jul 06 2007 : 10:04:37 AM Has anyone had any success at selling baby vegetables at a farmer's market? I've heard rumours that baby zuchini sell for huge amounts of money.($15 a pound?) I picked about 2 quarts of baby (3 inches or less) zucchini and yellow squash the other day as we were leaving for vacation, and I didn't want football sized zuchini when we returned. It looks like my garden is going to be pretty prolific this year, so I was wondering what to do with all this abundance...

Posted - Jul 06 2007 : 2:50:29 PM Brenda, I did notice that person I bought my fresh garlic from today at the farmers market had baby zucchini there, but I didn't noticed the price for it. I will be going again on tuesday and will check.
I love baby zucchini. I made a soup and used it in it with some swiss chard. The zucchini seems so sweet and buttery tasting this yr. I am thinking of pulling some young beets and pickling them as baby beets.
