Instructions
Ch 18.
Row 1: dc in 5 th ch from hook, (sk next ch, ch 1, dc in next ch,) 3 times, ch 2, sk 2 ch dc in next ch, (ch 1, sk1 ch, dc in next ch) 3 times. Turn 8 dc
Row 2: Ch 4 dc in in next dc, ch 4, 2 dc in ch 2 space, ch 4,sk 2 dc, dc in next dc ch 1 dc in 3 rd ch of turning ch. turn.
Row 3: Ch 4, dc in next dc, ch 3 2 dc in each of next 2 dc, ch 3, dc in next dc, ch 1, dc in 3 rd ch of turning chain, turn.
Row 4: Ch 4, dc in next dc, ch 2, 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc, ch 2, dc in dc ch 1 dc in 3 rd ch of turning ch. turn.
Row 5: Ch 4, dc in next dc, ch 1 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc, 2 dc in next dc, ch 1 dc in 3 rd ch of turning ch, turn.
Row 6: Ch 4, dc in next dc, ch 1 dc in next 8 dc, ch 1, dc in dc, ch 1 dc in 3 rd ch of turning ch. turn
Row 7: Ch 4, dc in next dc, ch 2, (dc 2 dc together) 2 times. Ch 2, (dc 2 dc together) 2 times, ch 2, dc in next dc, ch 1, dc in 3 rd ch of turning ch, turn.
Row 8: Ch 4, dc in next dc, ch 2, dc 2 dc together, ch 4, dc 2 dc together, ch 2 dc in dc, ch 1 dc in 3 rd ch of turning ch, turn.
Row 9: Ch 4, dc in next dc ch 1, dc in ch 2 space, ch 1 dc in ch 4 sp, ch 2 dc in ch 4 sp, ch 1 dc in ch 2 space, ch 1, dc in next dc, ch 1 dc in 3 rd ch of turning ch, turn
Row 10: Ch 4, dc in next dc, (ch 1 dc in next dc) 2 times, ch 2, dc in next dc, (ch 1 dc in next dc) 2 times, ch 2 dc in 3 rd ch of turning ch, turn.
Repeat rows 2 – 10 until piece measures approximately 84 inches or until you have reached the desired length, ending with row 9.
Border: (sc evenly spaced down long side, 3 sc in corner sc evenly spaced across end 3 sc in corner), repeat around. sl st to beginning ch.
Row 2: Ch 3,* sk 3 sc ( 3 tr, ch 3, sl st in 3 rd ch from hook, 3 tr all in next sc,).(This is a 5 dc shell with a picot).* Repeat around. Sl st to beginning sc. Fasten off and weave in the ends. You might have to adjust how many sc you skip to make piece lay flat, especially at the corners
