Has it been 2 years already?!

I found MJF while on the hunt for the greatest backpack meals of all time time while sorting myself for my first (only?) backpacking through hike. Then I found the sisterhood merit badge section and as a daisy Girl Scout leader, was smitten. The MJF books are beautiful and MaryJane is such an inspiration. What has been really remarkable is the welcome the Wildflower Henhouse gave Fallon and I. It feels like stepping back into the heady days of 1990's chatrooms when the internet was novel and full of possibilities. Plus Wildflowers have been so good for my soul-- you hens are always so optimistic and remind me to take time to savor and celebrate life.

I cannot believe I have been a FarmSister for almost 16 years. Do you know I was only 55 when I joined and now I am 71 how the heck is that possible! If memory serves I believe we were at our Tractor Store in Colorado when I saw a MJF magazine and I must say I was smitten! I read it from cover to cover, then I went online and checked the forum out and loved what I saw and read, I joined immediately and I have never looked back. These past 16 years have been amazing, I have learned so many things over the years and have made so many wonderful friends. So many friends I cherish and I know I will have till I leave this beautiful and amazing world. Our Wildflower Henhouse has been a blessing and I am so happy I joined when I did. As I have many even more special friends and we have so much fun! But the love, support and kindness we all show to each other makes my heart so very happy. Thank you Wildflowers:-)
I have met over 20 Farmgirls over the years and look forward to meeting more:-)

I found Mary Jane's forum in 2005 just after my oldest granddaughter was born. They didn't have the membership back then. I found this wonderful place through a friend I met in an online stitching group. I have been a member coming up on 20 years and have met so many wonderful farm sisters. Some have come and gone. I have formed lasting friendships with many and I am grateful for each one. I am so grateful to MaryJane for starting this bringing us all together. If not for this place some of us would never would have had the chance to know one another.

Well I was standing in line at our local Tractor Supply store and saw my first copy of MJF magazine. I flipped through and had to have it, then took it home and devoured it, lol. I was hooked and asked for a subscription for a Christmas present. I have been a subscriber ever since. It was quite a few years later when I finally joined the chat room and swaps, and the rest is history!! I love all of the friends I have made as a result. The Wildflower Henhouse is a wonderful place to be!!

I first saw MaryJane's magazine in a tiny grocery store in Montana. I picked up my first copy and have been hooked ever since! I found the website...ordered MaryJane's first book and read that...found the Merit Badges...
Wow! 18 years already? Time flies when you're having fun!
The best part has been getting to know other farmgirls that I would have never had the chance to meet and making lifelong friends. Our henhouse is something really special. I love how we are all different...but we all have things in common and we can all learn something from each other. I am so glad that I brought that first magazine home :)

I'm a little different in that my mother in law is the one that found the magazine. She used to be a subscriber and I would get the magazine when she was finished with it. Then I started reading it out of the mailbox and giving it to her when I was finished lol! I saw the ad for the sisterhood in the magazine and thought it would be a great thing to check out. I was right :) I honestly thought there would be more farmers, but MaryJane was right. There's a farm girl in us all! It's been a wonderful way to meet many amazing ladies that I would never have the opportunity to meet otherwise.
