I finished the Nora Roberts series where young Fallon saves the world (a little side story to come when I have more time to write it all out). Before I started another of her series, I made a stop at the library and wandered around searching out Christmas books. I did get one from Debbie Macomber, but I picked up 4 more from authors I've never read before. I also found Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes. I read it in high school and picked it up to reread it. What are you all currently reading? Anyone celebrating October with spooky books? I can't do the horror books. I read before going to bed and they gave me nightmares. And made me feel very uneasy about getting up in the middle of the night and going downstairs to the bathroom lol. I don't know if they would bother me during the day, but I'm not going to find out!

I just started a series called The Pumpkin Patch Sisters. There are 4 books, one for each sister. They sounded good but are starting out a little slow. Hopefully the story picks up soon.

I am reading The Widow of the South by Robert Hicks. This is the one I did not get to read in July, so I am reading it now. It is real good:-)

The pumpkin patch sisters sounds fun! I hope it gets better - let me know.

Is Widow of the South a fiction book?

Heather, the book is historical fiction based on a true story.

I’m going to look into that one, Debbie. The girl in the pumpkin patch book might be a little too prissy for my taste! Haha

I’ll keep going with it. The author has dropped a few hints about secrets that are keeping me interested.
