I'm grateful for strong coffee and huge salads that use all the leftover odds and ends.

Blessed with snow today :) I'm not feeling that the wind that came with it is such a blessing though LOL!

Continuing to pray for Denise and family!
So blessed to start the day with after restorative sleep and a scale "lean" number that gives me credit for sort of following Fallon's crazy abs exercise routine two days ago.

Grateful to spot 2 "trash pandas" making their way along our property fence line this morning. They had quite a discussion when they realized they were being watched!

I'm not sure what trash pandas are but they don't sound good LOL!

Today I'm grateful for my kitchen aid mixer so I don't have to churn my butter by hand.

Now That is a use for a Kitchen Aid! I am working on that Farm Kitchen badge about listing "kitchen needs" and could never understand why so many cookbooks were so enthusiastic about stand mixers...

Today's joys were waking up to bird song-- mocking birds? I learned from an Audubon talk last night there is a bird ID app that does songs (Merlin). Also, our earliest peach tree is wearing her princess dress of pink blooms now.

The Merlin App is the best Chris you will enjoy it. We have been using it for about a year now especially in the summer. Birds are such a Blessing and I love listening to them sing.

Chris - I used to feel the same way until I was gifted my kitchen aid. Now it would be very difficult to not have one LOL! I'm hoping one day to get a Bosch mixer, but with the cost -right now my kitchen aid works fine! I use it all the time and not just for mixing stuff. I use it for making butter, grinding flour, pureeing tomatoes for sauce, kneading bread, and sometimes grinding beef.

Today I feel blessed to just enjoy the stillness. The wind stopped blowing, the cows & calves were all tucked in, no one was driving by, it was just a wonderful calm finishing up the chores tonight.

Heather, you will never be disappointed with a Bosch! I have had mine for almost 26 years and I love it. Especially for kneading bread dough. But I also use it for so much more.

Blessing that we are able to spend these days with mom. I love her almost as much as my own mother. She's been my mil for almost 44 years and we have grown so close over the years and that is truly a blessing.

We have been having snow squalls come up while we're are here and I'm hoping we don't get caught in one when we are driving around. We had a hard time getting up the hill on his sister's lane yesterday so we are meeting them in town this morning and will ride out to their place in their made for snow vehicle. Lol.

Bosch, noted! I didn't realize there was a step up from Kitchen Aid! What a blessing to feel you have a second mother in your MIL, I am inspired.

I'm feeling blessed Fallon and I could participate in the local arts magnet high school open house. She got her entire "passport" stamped learning about Chinese dance, Korean fashion, Mexican ofrendas, Japanese bento boxes, stage makeup, karaoke soloing her favorite song, and learning how to play an E chord on guitar.

Fallon says it was a tie between the room where they let her karaoke to Pentatonix Christmas carols and taught her to play an E chord on a guitar and another where they taught her dance steps to Taylor Swift's Shake It Off.

Today feeling fortunate for a leisurely start to the week with the holiday. Also blessed to get a tech support lesson on how to reset our modems if internet goes out while Jens is away.
