I was so excited when my frog jumped too lol! I still can't believe how difficult origami is! Congrats on another badge. I need to get my rear in gear. I got the Sally Field book from the library yesterday and I gout out my macrame book. Now I just need things to settle down so I can be in the house....

Adding your badge to the total.

Debbie - your tatting looks wonderful! Maybe one day I'll get the hang of it, but I'm not holding my breath lol! I like your calligraphy too! Great job!

I earned 7 badges. Beginner and Intermediate for both the Chillover Comeover and Bakeover Makeover. The intermediate level of her-story, calligraphy, and Lend a hand to families. Hopefully this weekend I'll get a few more applied for.

Adding 10 to the total.

Wow! Way to go, Heather! My first crack at Bakeovers was not even remotely photogenic. Any tips?

I made the bake over easy recipe from the booklet rather than making a topper of dough. I did it the first time to save time. It turned out so nice, and it uses less mix, so I just kept doing it. I'm going to try one of the topper method soon. Maybe for a fruit dessert. We'll see how it goes.

Good tip, going straight to topper was probably my second/third mistake. First misadventure was that my cast-iron oven with a frypan handle doesn't fit in my convection oven-microwave, so I was trying to do these entirely on the stovetop and charring the bottoms while the top stayed raw. From there, I got a smaller oven that would fit, but put waaaay more than the prescribed amount of veggies under the topper and got a wet, slimey mess. Back to the lab!

I bet making a bakeover on the stove top would be impossible! Did you get the little recipe book with the bake over easy recipes? I just made up my own meat and veggie combo, but used the recipe for the batter. You pour the batter over the meat/veggies and then gently lift the meat/veggies so the batter can get all the way to the bottom. It then all bakes together and I really liked the consistency (and so did my friends and family). The blueberry dessert one I made with frozen blueberries so it took a little longer to get done. I used cast iron skillets for mine. I hope your next experiment yields fantastic results!
