Winnie I love the little apple cross stitch pillow you sent me. It stays will my apple things. I am so looking forward to apple time. We didn't get any blossoms or apples on our tree this year. I'm not sure why.
I am still working on this. So far I haven't set it down which is good. I may actually finish it. It may be Christmas before it's done but hopefully I won't give up on it this time.
The cloth has some little black marks on it from the hoop. Does anyone have any ideas for removing those? |

| Denise, I am happy that the little cross stitch pillow still brings smiles every Fall. I am also looking forward to our annual Apple Festival at MJF. I will be posting in late August my annual Apple Swap and Apple Giveaway too. Gotta keep our fun and enjoyment continuing so everyone who is new can join in if they choose. |

Great work Linda! I love the big star quilt and using the tea towels for an apron is a wonderful idea.

Just finished the binding on this triangle quilt. Most of the triangles are from a 2008 triangle swap I hosted on MJF. When I first pt the triangles together in rows, 1 row of each farmgirls triangles, the quilt was way too long and I was discouraged. It hung in a closet for yes, 18 years. This year I used it as one of my UFO projects. After looking at it for quite a while, I decided to remove several rows to make it a nice rectangle and add inner borders. I used the rows I took off, added more triangles to them, and added them as outside borders. I love the way it turned out. It is a very scrappy and bright quilt.
I want to make a list of the farmgirls who participated and see just how many are still members. Most of the names I do not recognize. I can't find the 2008 swap post, and am still searching. If any of you have a way to find it, please let me know.

So many beautiful projects you are all working on!
I just finished a journal for a swap. Now to clean up. I have papers and all kinds of things on my dining room table.
I have a dining room table and china cabinet to get cleaned up. They belonged to my grandmother. I have to decide if I'm going to paint the china cabinet. It's an odd sort of army green. The top of the bottom half and the shelves have a contact paper that I really don't like. My grandmother bought the top and bottom separately and my grandfather put them together. They are 2 different woods so he said they wouldn't look right together if they were stained. I believe this was back in the early 1950's. When I clean up my mess the table is coming in! |

How wonderful you have a family piece. JT and I ate still plugging away at the hoosier. He is replacing some pieces of wood on the drawers and I work on stripping the paibe when I can. The wood on the drawers is two different type but I am going to stain them as close as I can to what the outside looks like.
