I just love Lady Bugs, they are such Special Little Creatures. I do not see many here on the coast so I may have to buy some and release them around my flowers.
Do y’all like Lady Bugs?

And now a funny one:-)

Big Hugs,
Debbie

I love ladybugs and why I named my blog ladybugloveslilacs. Two thing I love in nature!

I love that they devour aphids (mostly in nymph form when they look like little black alligators) and when the mature ones land on my kid, she squeals about how she is going to have good luck today. She tries to count their spots, so that "Bless you!" cartoon made me chuckle.

I like ladybugs too!! :) When May oldest daughter lived at home she had a cat named Lady. We called her ladybug!! Did you know they bite?? It feels a little like a sting. I love to see them in my garden though.

I have never had one bite me. There are some that are ladybug imposters and my grandkids don't like them at all. They always look close to see which it is. Lol

I love the little red ladybugs. Unfortunately it seems all that's around here are those stinky orange ones and I've been bitten by them! I don't know if they eat the aphids too or not, but I don't like them at all!!!

That’s what we have Heather, the orange ones. I haven’t seen a red one in years!

Merit told me that the orange ones are the males and the red ones are the females. Usually the males are more colorful? Brad agreed with her ; I’d never heard of that. Hazel calls them lady gubs:)

I wonder if they're like fireflies and haven't crossed the mountains... Here's a little video that shows you what I'm talking about. They're Asian lady beetles.

Shooting my rancid blood out of my joints does not top my list of desirable superpowers, but interesting video all the same!
