I thought my flower pots were safe since nothing has bothered them since I shared the first disaster. I'm pretty sure the only thing coming up in the tea pot is grass, but I've been watering it and keeping an eye on it just in case. The other day I noticed another critter was bothering the pot, only this time I caught him red handed!!!

I've also caught the little varmint sitting in my Tulsi pot! I've warned him twice. Next time he's going to get a squirt from the water hose. I told him I don't care how cute he is or how much he purrs at me, he has to stay out of the herbs and flowers. He said "game on!" LOL!

Awwww he’s so cute! Give him catnip or plant some, and maybe he will leave the other things alone.

When he's older, he can patrol your Tulsi pot? Or are varmints not spooked by cats?

More city girl questions-- will cats bother your chickens? I imagine they would if they were unchaperoned chicks, but surely by pullet size they can hold their own? Maybe not even then?

Funny little catnip story - a few years ago I was excited to find some at the greenhouse. I had read it was great for a relaxing tea before bed. I planted them (I think it came in a 4-pack) on the edge of the garden. The next morning there wasn't even a trace of it to be found! The cats devoured all of it. A year or 2 later I tried again by putting some in a little bucket and hanging it up high outside my back door. Any guesses what happened? Yup, the cats climbed the tree and got on the roof. When I saw them up there I grabbed the little bucket and make a tincture!
