I’m looking for help in setting up my prayer journal. If you have one, would you be willing to share what tabs/sections you have in your journal? Even if you don’t have one, I would love any suggestions you may have for me!! :)

I have a journal I started for prayers, not organized like you're inquiring about, but I've been contemplating how to organize mine and I'm thinking I'm just going to section mine off something like: Family / Friends / Work / Self / Etc. AND, I just noticed how "self" came last... perhaps I should move that up front to accompany my new year focus on self love. I think I may resort to pinterest for ideas. We can circle back around in a month or two and collaborate!? XO

I like your ideas Karen and April, and yes you are right April , Self should be first. And it is not selfish to put ourselves first, as we need Self Love and Spa Treatments :-) As we need to be around for a long time for our family members and friends who are so important in our lives.
Now I believe I need to make a Prayer Journal as well. I believe everyone needs one right Wildflowers?

I don't have one but a tab I would include would be "God whispers" (that's what I call them). I've found that many times when someone randomly pops in my mind, they usually have something going on that I'm just not aware of at the time. So now when it happens I pray for that person.

Heather I love the phrase “God whispers”, I’ve also heard “God Breeze”, but I love whispers better. My motto is, if you think it, act on it, because it is likely God giving you a nudge, like you said.

A day hemmed in prayer is less likely to unravel.

I have tried a journal of sorts in the past but have a hard time being consistent with it. I love the idea of writing down GodWinks/Whispers! When these happen to me, I think I will always remember what happened/what was said...but I forget! It would be good to write it down so that you can go back and refresh and remember.

I also love the GOD Whispers and whole heartedly believe we should always act upon them. God is working through all of us always. xo

Oh my goodness, sisters! Your stories make my heart smile! :) This weekend, I will work on setting up my journal! In a book I was reading the author used JOY…Jesus, others, yourself. But I agree that there are times when we need to put ourselves first! I heard them called God winks or Heart Drops…I will definitely be adding that section to my notebook! :)

Karen,
I like that , JOY as God's word tells us more about being humble and that it is more about Jesus and less of us. Numerous references to that . There are times that we are to call out to God on our own behalf.

I like how you explained that, Denise. It reminds me of how Jesus said He came to serve, not be served. My daughter’s MIL is such a great example to me of a humble servant to others. Goals to work on:)

Yes she is Denise, Debbie Fischer is so thoughtful to always reach out and check on everyone. She also knows how to boost our morale and draw us together. Just like a Mama Hen checking on her flock to make sure everyone is well and accounted for.

I think we are all capable of serving well. We have the best mentor in Jesus! And even when we feel like we have fallen short, the recipient doesn’t know that we feel like this way. We can aim for perfection but give ourselves grace if something is less than perfect. (Hope that makes sense).

Here is a couple of pictures from my prayer journal. My tabs are: personal, praise, prayers (requests and answered), gratitude, God Winks, verses, quotes. I have a special tab within my prayers section for John, Katie, and Amy & Aaron, plus my special MJF sisters! :)

Very well said Karen, and I love your Prayer Journal.
Thank you Wanda Sue and all my Wildflowers.
Once I am caught up on my 5 swaps(why do I do this to myself) I will start my Prayer Journal. I have my book I will use and my first page will say,
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Good Night Wildflowers I am so Blessed to have of you in my life.”

Karen,
Your journal is lovely. I love how you decorated it.
I have so many ideas floating around in my head, I need to get them written down.

Debbie,
Phillipians 4:13 was my sister's life verse. Does anyone else have one?

I have a lot of verses that bring me peace and comfort! But my favorite is Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lotd your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”

My youngest daughter’s favorite verse is Philippians 4:13. She has a cool tattoo on the top of her foot with a softball and Philippians 4:13 around the ball. :)

Scripture is so beautiful and comforting. There are so many I love. Psalm 119:105 is a favorite as well as chapter 61 of the Psalms and James chapter 1. I with a couple of friends have spent time memorizing chapters of Scripture.
