Busy, busy, busy. And who isn't this time of year. Seems we have been nonstop since our Thanksgiving trip. We came home to awards night for Master's club at our church where I have been teaching 1st - 3rd grades. We had a half hour to change and get there so we didn't unpack the car until we got back from there. The next day we had Violets school muse. She still had her cast on from surgery to reconnect a tendon in her finger from the mishap this summer. She's out of that now and going to OT twice a week. The following Sunday was our Christmas Cantata. So I had also been busy going to rehearsals the week after we were home. It was a nice time and those who attended seem to enjoy it. JT's mom and sister spent this past weekend visiting and we had our gift exchange with them. Yesterday I went to my daughter's and Kat, a friend of hers came over also to help us make Ninjabread men. We had a good time. Her friend had to leave for work so we cleaned up and after Annie got home I brought her with me till her mom picked her up for karate class. Today is a catch up day. We will be caroling on Saturday and spending Christmas with Leslie and family.
What plans do you have? What have you been up to.
Sorry such a long post but I want to catch up with everyone. Our henhouse hasn't been as active as it could be and I hope it is just because everyone is busy and not that we've lost interest. |

I am getting ready to wrap presents. My DIL's gifts arrive from Amazon tomorrow and then, besides getting a restaurant gift certificate for Ed's son, I think we are done.
I am trying to find a night that Dean's family and Shayne's family can get together to celebrate our Christmas. Dean, Michelle and one of the twins are working, so need to work around their scheudles. And Shayne usually goes to his MIL's or BIL's for Christmas on Christmas Day. I'm going to make it easy this year and take everyone to dinner and just come back here for gifts and desserts.
I have 2 quilts to put bindings on for Christmas (well, I have at least 4 other quilts that need binding, too) and need to get off this computer and just do it. LOL!

I'm getting ready for a visit to the oncologist tomorrow. They will be giving me a chemo port Friday. Christmas has been put on hold this year. |

Linda, I spent yesterday doing laundry and wrapping gifts. I only have one person left and he is stumping me this year.
Judith, I'm sorry you are dealing with having that done. |

I’ve been crazy busy just following along with the seasons…volunteering in my daughter’s 4th grade classroom, helping her grade papers, writing (and writing and writing) Christmas cards. Decorating our Christmas tree, laundry, general house cleaning, running errands, and doing a small amount of crafting. I need to put the finishing touches on a gift for John and do ALL the wrapping of gifts. We will have our girls plus our son-in-law over on Christmas morning for breakfast and gifts Christmas morning. Then we will go to my in-laws house for gifts and dinner. Then I have a surprise 75th birthday party for dear friend on the 26th. So it will be busy for sure. Plus church and my niece’s house on Christmas Eve. |

We just returned from a quick visit to Boston to see my brother who has been having a lot f cardiac issues. While we were there the MD called him to let him know his latest heart echo showed a huge improvement and that the issues he has been having the past week are hopefully from two medications they put him on. He was doing so much better while I was there which was wonderful! |

My poor Christmas tree is already drying out and needles are dropping everywhere!! I wish trees were not cut down so early and would last until at least Christmas day! |

I’m sorry Winnie. Our tree is holding its own. We have the tree lot people cut the bottom off 2-3 inches and then bring it home right away and put it in water. We are still having to add water, so it’s still drinking. :) |

I have read that it is best to buy a tree as soon as they are for sale, cut a few inches off the bottom, and keep it outside until you bring it in, preferably not the day after Thanksgiving. Or buy a life tree you can plant after Christmas. |
