I came down this morning to find my cactus has 6 tiny little buds on it. I hope it blooms so I can enjoy it. We will be traveling to see my daughter for Thanksgiving and I'm hoping to see at least these 6 before we go. I never knew there was a difference between the cacti. Some bloom around Thanksgiving, some around Christmas. I've had this one bloom at Valentines and st. Patrick's day in the same year. I thought it was odd it would bloom a month after it had already bloomed. Most don't keep their blossoms long after blooming. If you look closely you can see the 3 little buds I got in the photo. I'm just thrilled to see them on it. Sometimes it won't bloom at all.
But I've been reading up on them. So hopefully this one will do better.

Very nice, Denise. I hope they bloom out before you leave.

Denise, my little cactus also has several little blooms budding out and getting bigger. I still think we are a week or more from any of them opening up. Last Spring, I repotted this cactus into a larger pot and it grew bigger and healthier looking. I hope this year it will be filled with blooms . Only time will tell!

I just recently fertilized mine. Maybe that gave it the little boost it needed. It has never had very many blooms on it.
