Just wondering if any of y'all have successfully worked with sourdough starter and baking good loaves?
I do have Mary Jane's original magazine article and have always worked with that - then I bought her Wild Bread book - so this time I'm going to try with Eikhorn flour.
My daughter and I have both tried but I don't think we've really felt successful. I have found some lovely sourdough discard recipes that are delicious but my loaves have never really hit the mark. I'd like to try again so I thought I'd see if you all have had any luck.

I've had some success and I've had some bad flops. My advice is to weigh the flour rather than using measuring cups. Most of my flops were because I was starving and drowning my "mother".

Laura, I sent you an email this morning. How is the sourdough experiment going?
