Hi sisters!

I’m here to ask for prayers for my father-in-law (and mother-in-law, too). He was admitted to the hospital this morning in order to have a biopsy of his small intestine. A C/T scan revealed a blockage. He is quite uncomfortable with the tube down his nose, he is hungry, and thirsty. Please pray for his comfort, and for wisdom for the doctors. Thank you all so much!

Karen :)

Thank you, sisters. He had surgery this morning. The surgeons removed 24 millimeters of his small intestine. Biopsy results will be back next week some time. He is resting comfortably and will be released from the hospital either Sunday or Monday! :)

I saw my FIL today. He looks wonderful! :) He is tired and hungry (hasn’t been able to eat or drink since Tuesday night). But hopefully late today that was supposed to change and he would be allowed liquids.

Thank you, once again, for your prayers. The pathology report came back on Friday of last week…He does indeed have cancer. It is a low-grade neuroendocrine tumor. The dr is very optimistic and the surgeon is happy with the amount of margins they took around the tumor. He will be referred to an oncologist to be on the safe side. He is feeling good about everything. :)

I’m glad that he’s feeling good about his situation. That helps a lot! I’m so glad that the dr is happy with the margins. Praying that all goes well with his treatment, if needed.
