Mother's Day weekend is a wonderful time set aside to honor our mothers. Mothers certainly deserve a special day of recognition for all the selfless acts of affection and service they provide for their families.
I also recognize that Mother's Day can be a difficult day for many people. There are some women who wanted very much to become mothers but they could not. There are some who have lost children, suffered miscarriage, or have a wayward child who has broken their hearts. There are also children who had absent mothers or mothers with serious problems. And then there are those whose mothers have passed away and their children can no longer enjoy a visit or conversation with her.

I received a couple of Mothers day gifts today.

We went to Church Sunday morning, then to Ed's son's new house for lunch, then came home and my son and his wife and one son came and we all went to TX Roadhouse for dinner - had to wait over 2 hours to eat. My son gave me a 1500 piece jigsaw puzzle and it is not an easy picture - mostly white with little bits of colors in round paint samples. LOL! He knows we love puzzles.
I had a great Mother's Day! I hope everyone else did, too.
