Yes, you know the older I get the more I love each season. I've always been a fall girl but of late I have come to appreciate each season. |

Karen, this is a very true quote that we all should keep in mind. I don't live in a state where the Winters are long and sometimes very hard, so I can imagine the impatience of getting to Spring. I grew up in Virginia where there are 4 distinct seasons. When I moved to Florida, I was stunned to realize that we really only have two. One is a very long, hot and humid summer, and the other is a tiny bit of fall that arrives in December and meets up with our first real cold weather, only to move out of that to Spring which moves into hot weather by late April. I still miss four seasons in a year and especially the Fall. |

I've always lived in California so only know two seasons also. I grew up in the Bay Area where the seasons were quite similar: cool and warm. I raised my family here in the great valley where the seasons are hot and dry and cold and wet (unless it's a drought year). I always look forward to Spring for everything blooming and lovely warm weather before the heat of summer hits, then I look forward to Fall when the heat cools off. |
