I know some people don't like squirrels but I appreciate ours. I love watching them play tag around our elm and oak trees and eagerly await seeing the new babies come early Spring. My cat Scooter spends hours sitting on the window sill watching them. I call them our tree kitties and roof rabbits, depending where they are; sometimes those little paws go thundering across the roof.

We love our squirrels too. Every day, we feed them deer corn and about 12 of them show up for breakfast. They can be a nuisance at times by chewing up things but they don't do that too often.

In the whole time I have lived in Loleta I have seen only 3 squirrels.
It’s strange but we have lots of cats in Loleta, that might be why!

Darlene -- Just wait; they may find you yet. We have a huge pecan tree. For many squirrelless years I spent hours bent over picking up pecans wishing for squirrels. About five years ago they suddenly appeared.
