Let’s hope that it’s sooner than later.

It's sunny and 68 right now!!! The birds are going nuts and there are a bunch of bugs out. I hope summer is not as warm as this winter has been...

No sight of spring here. We have ice and snow on the ground, another dusting of snow last night to refresh us all. Our spring will hit about May 15th and Summer will arrive June 1st. Can't wait.

Warm at 70 yesterday. Storms last night and 50s this week. Snow is forecast by the end of next week. Don't think it will last as yesterday the birds were singing the song of Spring. My daffodils are getting ready to open their buds. Spring is coming!

Pollen is thick enough to draw on our cars here! Weathers been gorgeous and rain free for 2 weeks now! Denise, my daffodils have come and gone and I'm getting itchy fingers to plant my seeds but can't yet because mother nature can be very tricky you know! Today we had to rid an aggressive moccasin from the pond. Yup, spring has sprung here! In the 80s last 3 days too! :0

I've been experiencing the most beautiful spring here last 3 weeks, thus the silence. I've been prepping the garden, mowing and weedeating!! Oh yes! The purple martins have returned, set up homes and are now mating and prepping thier nest, dragonflies, butterflies, bees, bugs, weeds and flowers, stickers and SNAKES are all back! Wood ducks in thier nest, killed a moccasin already and I think even the beavers may have a wee one!! Sounds like it!! Spring has sprung here for sure so be patient, it's on its way to you!! :)

Hubs shot his head off you guys. I carry my pistol too and 2 years ago I shot one as well. Gotta protect the furkuds and daughter!! I'm not afraid of snakes, sometimes they get mu heart racing tho, lol. The moccasin was staring us down 4 feet away. The Danny had to walk up on it cuz he didn't believe me when I said it was a moccasin!! Lol. They were a foot apart. NOW THAT scared me!!

Oh how I wish spring was closer. My snowbanks are so high Flash the wonder dog can look right in to see what we are up to.

Dianna, I am pretty sure I would have left a puddle if I saw one of those critter. Good thing we only have Garter Snakes here.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Yes Debbie, that is the bannister to our deck. Flash does love the snow.

Debbie K we made the decision to sell the cattle this year. After we loaded the last load of calves in January, we looked at each other and said this really isn’t fun anymore and we don’t move as fast as we used to. The cows went to a bred cow sale in early February. Best decision ever with the way the winter has been. We do have 4 head we held back, just to fatten them up a bit. But they will go to the sales barn probably next month. We have enjoyed not calving this year and not having to feed everyday.

No, no, no snakes! They are the number 1 one thing I detest. I hated them when I was growing up on the farm and always have. I'm hoping we are too populated here to have them.

Julie, I will not complain about snow falling this close to Spring again. Not after seeing this. We used to get it like this in NY when I was a kid but they don't seem to have those kinds of winter's too much anymore.

Oh, Julie…I’m so sorry. We’ve had glorious weather the past few days. I managed to get a light sunburn while doing yard work today! :)
